PARADIS3

( 18 )

The brand's first name was original 'Palisades Paradise', after Sean Pablo and his friends skated near the beach in a town called Pacific Palisades, near Malibu. Like a purpose-built 80s film, this conceptual landscape (yuppies and jocks, convertibles, blondes, surfboards, frat boys) inspired Pablo to print t-shirts to replicate this context as a 'paradise' of ambiguity and conflicting, bittersweet feelings of existence. PARADIS3 was developed by combining Sean Pablo's passion for skateboarding - he was also featured in Supreme's first full-length skate video 'Cherry' - with prison art, anime porn, vintage band t-shirts, and car stickers to subvert the status quo.
